only today did i realise that the search engine by atomz hasn't been indexing my site since the 15/5 !! hopefully this is fixed now, i've just manually reindexed and set up the indexing schedule (again)

apart from this strange behaviour (which im fairy certain was my fault for not paying attention to an email) im quite happy with atomz.

TECH: migrating/converting from Microsoft Access to MySQL for FREE

finding out how to convert/migrate data from Microsoft Access to MySQL for free isnt the easiest information to find. So below are some resources I have found whilst hunting for a faster way to do this. Both these methods work well, and are absolutely free.

tasty treats..

well my head feels muddy.. so havent had enough HP to update the blog in the last few days

In the meantime download and have fun with Firefox and Thunderbird, both mozilla products that I have come to love and have taken over (yet again) as my preffered Internet and EMail experiences.. Soon so very soon now they will hit version 1.0..

Latest versions
Firefox 1.0 Preview Release 1 (whats new)
Thunderbird 0.8 (whats new)

Get Firefox! Get Thunderbird

On a side note Mozilla 1.7.3 was also released to bring it up to par as well.

Rich Maha!

I did some work down near Glenferrie Rd this week, so I ended up going to lunch at some of the fine establishments there. On Wednesday, I saw the Rich Maha sign and thought, "OMGOMGOMGOMGLOLOLZZ!"
So, I went in and they had the usual Rich Maha menu (pretty much the same as the one on Burwood Hwy) except they've got roti rolls with 3 different fillings! They had beef, fish and vegetable. All I can say is that they were fuckin awesome.
Roti rolls rock.

windows xp sp2 mp3 codec missing problem + solution!

finally.. after quite a bit of digging i have found the solution

after upgrading to service pack 2, i coulnt play mp3 files in windows media player. i thought WMP 10 would solve this, but no.

microsoft have a knowledgebase article on this problem and a download to the solution (858KB file)

this can be applied to media player 9 only.
once applied you can upgrade to WMP 10

the empire demands you play games!

NationStates is a very entertaining game.
Its a political simulator where as leader of your own country you make decisions that effect your populace. only takes about 5 mins each day to play (you only get to make at most a few choices) and you see how your nation evolves ;)

check out my own nation if you are curious

quite a funny story

http://cuagain.manilasites.com/discuss/msgReader$287
Computer games don't affect kids; I mean if Pac-Man affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching on magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music.
